Business Issues & Communication
Instructor: Mr. Winkler
Do you plan on going to college, technical school, and/or owning/managing a business someday? If you answered yes, then you should take this class, because in your future you will be working in groups, as individuals, and presenting information on a daily basis. As a student you need to start setting yourself apart from the pack. This means you need to develop skills that will prepare you for what employers are looking for in a leader: teamwork, problem solving, and communication skills. This class will allow you to work in groups on case studies in areas such as:  healthcare, entertainment, video games, technology, politics, and more. Individuals and groups will analyze information, make decisions, and present information. Step out of your comfort zone and become more comfortable presenting information and taking leadership roles within a group. Every student taking this class will work to improve all aspects of verbal and non-verbal, and written communication while dealing with current business issues. This will be a fun and interactive class that will focus on the skills that will create the leader that employers are looking for.
